In it’s penultimate Lovecraft Country Episode 9 tackles one of the worst moments in American history. Rewind 1921 takes an unflinching look at the Tulsa Massacre of 1921 through the eyes of our main characters.

Lovecraft Country Episode 9 “Rewind 1921” Summary

Captain Lancaster’s spell has taken hold of Dee and only the blood of a close relative can save her. With Hippolyta still missing, Atticus’s “father” Montrose is their only hope. With Dee’s life on the line Montrose reveals his final secret. Luckily Hippolyta returns and using her new multiverse machine sends Tic, Letitia and Montrose back to retrieve the Book of Names from it’s last known location, Tulsa 1921! As a massacre of the Black population of the city rages around them, Leti convinces Tic’s grandmother to give her the book and protect their future, Montrose faces up to his past choices as Atticus learns he played a major role in his father’s early life.
